If you are going on a visit, for shopping or on vacation in Italy, be prepared for the fact that prices in Italian stores are not as low as numerous guides are trying to assure you. But in order to fully enjoy all the unforgettable delights of this country, you need to get there. The fastest, of course, is by plane.
Instructions
Step 1
If you do not have a long-term Schengen visa, you can apply for a short-term visa to Italy for a short guest or tourist trip at the Italian Visa Application Center in Moscow. In addition, travel agencies or individuals who have official accreditation at the Italian Visa Application Center will be able to get a visa instead of you.
Step 2
Find out the flight schedule that is most suitable for you in terms of time, price and direction. You can find out ticket prices directly at the ticket offices, at the airport, on the airport websites or by contacting a ticket delivery service such as www.tutu.ru
Step 3
If the ticket prices for direct flights seem too high for you, find out which low cost or transit flights are flying to Italy soon. The most favorable fares are offered by Austrian airlines. Go to the website https://www.austrian.com (in Russian), click on the "Offers" tab (there are offers for current promotions), study the information on the special rates "Redticet". All taxes and fees are already included in these special rates. On this site you can find out the cost of a round-trip flight
Step 4
Get your visa. To do this, you need documents:
- original and certified copy of tickets to Italy (or booking sheet with the seal of the ticket office, or electronic tickets);
- confirmation of hotel booking (with the signatures of all officials and indicating the duration of your stay at the hotel);
- a statement and a letter of guarantee from the party that invited you (if you are traveling by invitation) indicating the duration of your stay and the degree of kinship;
- medical insurance.
Step 5
Buy a tour to Italy, submit all the necessary documents to obtain a visa, namely:
- a certified copy of the passport;
- a certified copy of the passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation;
- photo 3 × 4 cm (if you are going on a trip with children, you will need to submit their photo as well);
- completed application form (in Italian or English);
- a certificate from the place of work and a certificate of salary, pension, scholarship and other income;
- originals of statements from foreign currency accounts, travel checks, a certified copy of the savings book (if any).
Step 6
Arrive at the airport well in advance. Check out the list of things prohibited from entering the EU. Fill out the customs declaration, go through customs and receive your boarding pass.
