A private city is an absolutely new phenomenon in Russia. Dobrograd is a striking example of an attempt to implement such a project. The construction of the "city of dreams" began in 2014 near Kovrov in the Vladimir region.
According to investor Vladimir Sedov, the energy sector in megalopolises is almost always negative. It is favorable in small provincial settlements. But the standard of living there is too low. The businessman spent several years in search of the perfect solution.

Not finding his dream city, Sedov decided to build it. The concept is based on the principle of architecture commensurate with man. The maximum building height is 6 floors.
There are three types of territories:
- t. n. farmstead type;
- buildings with several floors;
- industrial cluster.
The first is dominated by townhouses, individual construction, cottages. Residents can build houses according to their own designs. On the more distant second one, there are higher-rise buildings and duplexes. An industrial cluster is a territory where workers live and work.
All objects are inscribed in the landscape. Construction is underway with minimal harm to nature. The trees are not cut down, but the forest is transplanted to new areas of the city.
There are no high fences in Dobrograd, but there is an open space without barriers. Nothing distracts from admiring the landscapes, the space is not overloaded with details. As a result, an atmosphere of unity with nature has been created, which has become a "deficit" in megacities.
Location
The town is located in the center of the Golden Ring, in the picturesque place of the confluence of the Arga and Nerekhta rivers. The settlement is surrounded by a pine forest. Everything has been thought out, even the sidewalk tiles in color resemble bark. Dobrograd has two lakes for recreation and fishing. The population receives water from an artesian well.
All the necessary points are also thought out. There are hotels, cafes, a spa complex, sports grounds. There is even a rollerdrome and a concert stage on the water. Dobrograd has repeatedly become a venue for festivals and large-scale events. The city of dreams has its own, albeit small, airfield and helipad.
There are no industrial zones or traffic jams here. There is a project for the separate collection of solid waste. Garbage is both sorted and disposed of competently. Heating in each house is autonomous, which ensures savings on utility bills.

There are no harmful industries and are not planned. The number of residents will not exceed 40 thousand people. Only in this case you will get a city “for people”.
Since the area is small, the infrastructure is within walking distance. Residents will not only be able to fully communicate, but also know all their neighbors in person.
The project of the free economic zone "Dobrogradd-1" is in operation. Entrepreneurs received substantial tax breaks on it. In addition, the regime prohibits the placement of “dirty” industries harmful to the city's ecology.
At the end of 2019, Dobrograd received the status of a village. The locality is mapped. Ahead is a new stage of obtaining the status of a city.
