An electronic plane ticket, also called an E-ticket, is a way to book a flight to almost any destination from the comfort of your home, right from your computer. You can choose a convenient flight, and then issue a ticket on the airline's website at a convenient time for you. Step 1
To book an air ticket via the Internet, you need to open the website of the airline or intermediary - the website of the ticket store. There, find a link "buy a ticket" or something like that. It may be that you will see the flight search form right on the main page.
Step 2
First of all, select the airport of departure and arrival (sometimes you can select a city, then the system will take into account all the airports available in it). You also need to choose one of the booking options: a one-way ticket or a round trip. This is usually implemented as a checkbox or radio button. Specify departure dates. Some booking systems allow you to immediately view flights for the next few days in order to find the best option for the price.
Step 3
After the search parameters are entered, the system will show you the schedule of the found flights. In systems of one type, you need to select a flight to view the ticket price, while other systems immediately indicate both the flight and the prices. And somewhere you can sort flights by prices or the selected class of service. Select the fare, date and time of departure if there are several flights on the day you want.
Step 4
At this stage, check all the entered data. Whether the ticket is selected in the direction, the required dates, flights. After making sure everything is correct, proceed to filling out the traveler information. Fill in the required fields with your full name, passport details, contact phone number and e-mail. Check everything again. If you made a mistake with your passport data, you will not be able to fly. A mistake in the email address will result in you not receiving your ticket, it will be sent to the wrong address. All this can be fixed, but you will need to additionally contact support, and some changes, such as fixing an error in the passport data, can cost money.
Step 5
If everything is correct, proceed with the payment, the booking system will offer you a choice of options. All airlines support the ability to pay by Visa or MasterCard, some accept cards of a different format. Some Russian carriers agree to pay with electronic money, some airlines even allow you to pay for tickets through electronic payment terminals, Svyaznoy or Euroset.
Step 6
As soon as the purchase is paid, you will immediately receive a confirmation in the mail that your ticket has been issued, it will be attached to the letter. Print it out and present it at the reception. Some companies require a mandatory printed ticket, this happens on international flights. If the flight is domestic, then you can just go to the counter with a passport, the ticket will be issued to you without any printouts, since all information is stored in the airline's database.
