In October, Moscow is not always happy with the weather, so this month it is better to visit theaters and museums, spend time in a cafe in good company, or actively relax in sports clubs and water parks.

A visit to any of the central museums in Moscow can (in case of good weather) be combined with a walk along the picturesque streets of the center of Moscow. Arbat, Tverskaya are likely to appeal to city guests, Nikitsky and Gogolevsky boulevards, painted with autumn foliage, will delight romantic couples. And after walking, you can go to the Pushkin Museum or the Tretyakov Gallery, where you can wander for hours. You can look into the lecture halls of museums, where interesting lectures about the life of great artists are often held.
Step 2
Most of the theater troupes return from tours in October. Therefore, it is in the middle of autumn that you can see the most interesting premieres and sensational performances. If you love classical art, be sure to visit the Maly and Bolshoi Theaters, as well as the Stanislavsky Theater. Modern provocative performances can be seen at the Youth Theater or at Lenkom. In both Moscow Art Theaters, the repertoire is combined, there are both modern and classical works.
Step 3
It is best to sit out in a restaurant or cafe on a cold and rainy day in October. There is a wide selection of such establishments in Moscow, there are both the usual network ones, for example "Shokoladnitsa" or "Il Patio", and unique art cafes like "Etre", where film screenings, performances, author's readings and performances take place. The cuisine here is very eclectic; the menu includes dishes from different nations of the world, as well as unusual author's ones.

If you want to forget about autumn for a while, you can go to one of the water parks in Moscow. There are several of them in the city ("Fantasy", "Kva-Kva" and others).
