Sweden is part of the Schengen zone, therefore, to visit Sweden, citizens of the Russian Federation need a valid Schengen visa. You can get a visa yourself by contacting the Swedish Embassy in Moscow or the Visa Center in St. Petersburg. Before visiting the Embassy, it is necessary to prepare documents.

Step 1

Collect the rest of the documents. When the package of documents is completed, it will be possible to apply for a visa.
Step 3
Applications are accepted without prior appointment on a first-come, first-served basis. You can submit documents from Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00.

If you are traveling by invitation, you need to attach the original and a copy of the invitation, the original or a copy of an extract from the Swedish population register and a photocopy of the inviting person's passport (or a document giving the right to legally reside in the country) to the main documents.
Step 5
Pensioners need to submit a copy of their pension certificate.
Step 6
For schoolchildren and students - a certificate from the school or institute, a sponsorship letter and a copy of the spread of the internal passport of the person who financed the trip.
Step 7
If you are not working, you will need a bank statement or sponsorship letter from the person who pays for the trip, a certificate from the sponsor's place of work or a bank statement and a photocopy of the spread of his internal passport.

For children, a separately completed application form signed by the parent and a birth certificate (original and copy) must be attached to the general package of documents.

If the child travels with one of the parents, the original and a copy of the notarized power of attorney from the other parent will be required. If the child travels accompanied by third parties, the original and a copy of the notarized power of attorney from both parents, a copy of the spread of the client's internal passport and a copy of the spread of the passport of the accompanying person will be required.
