The Gulf of Finland is part of the Baltic Sea and the coast of St. Petersburg and its suburbs. You can get to the most picturesque corners of the bay in different ways, both by land and by water.

Step 1
The easiest way for Russians to admire the beauty of the Gulf of Finland is in St. Petersburg and its suburbs. Take advantage of local public transportation. You can drive to the picturesque coast of the Gulf of Finland opposite the Park of the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg. Take the metro to the Chernaya Rechka or Staraya Derevnya metro stations. Then take one of the trams to the Mercury shopping center, which is located along Savushkina street. After getting off at this stop, move in the opposite direction and you will reach the coast. You can also take a ride to the Primorskaya metro station and walk along the old houses from the 1970s until you come out to the bay.
Step 2
Get to Peterhof, a favorite spot for romantics who prefer to admire the bay stretching into the distance. Take the route taxis from the Baltiyskaya, Avtovo, Veterans Prospect and Leninsky Prospekt metro stations. Please note that Avtovo station is very popular with tourists and long queues can accumulate here. From here you can take minibuses No. 224, 300 and 424. You can also get to your destination by bus No. 200. At the Leninsky Prospekt station, you can use minibuses No. 103, 224 and 420. From Baltiyskaya there is minibus No. 404, and from the station "Prospect Veterans" - No. 343 and 639B.
Step 3
Reach your destination by train from the Baltiyskiy railway station, which is located near the Baltiyskaya metro station. Trains with movement in the direction to the stations "Kalische", "Krasnoflotsk" or "Oranienbaum" will suit you. Getting out on any of them, you can quickly get to the coast of the bay. Buses 349-352, 355 and 356 go from the stations in the direction you need.
Step 4
Take a hydrofoil boat trip across the water from the docks of Palace Embankment or at the Palace Bridge on Admiralteyskaya. An adult ticket will cost you from 650 rubles, and a child ticket - from 300 rubles.
