Step 1
The fastest and most convenient way to Nikolaev is by plane. But, unfortunately, there are very few flights to this city. Only UTair Airlines flies on the Moscow - Nikolaev route. The flight departs from the airport approximately once a day, and the flight time is 2 hours 55 minutes.
Step 2
Quite quickly and comfortably, you can get to Nikolaev by long-distance train. On average, the train runs once a day. This train departs from the Kazan railway station and passes through the territory of Russia and Ukraine. Travel time is 22 hours 58 minutes. And in winter, the travel time is slightly lengthened and is 23 hours 15 minutes.
Step 3
You can also get to Nikolaev by bus. True, in this case, you will need to make one change, because there are no direct flights. At the first stage, you need to take a tourist bus to Kirovograd, and then change to bus number 25, which will take you to Nikolaev. The total travel time will be at least 25-26 hours.
Step 4
There remains one more way - a trip by car. And there are two options here. You can taxi onto the M2 “Crimea” highway, drive through Podolsk, Chekhov and Serpukhov and get to Orel. After that, Kursk and Belgorod will be from large settlements on the territory of Russia. When the car crosses the Russian-Ukrainian border, you need to drive along the E105 highway in the direction of Kharkov, and then through Krasnograd to Kharkov. From Kharkov, you need to take it to the left and go along the E40 highway to Krivoy Rog, and no more than 200 kilometers will remain from this settlement to Nikolaev.
Travel time will take about 23 and a half hours. As for the second route option, you need to go along the M3 "Ukraine" highway through Odintsovo, Naro-Fominsk, Kaluga and Bryansk. After the Russian-Ukrainian border, you should head for Kirovograd along the E101 highway. And then go to the E58 highway and get to Nikolaev. The whole journey will take from 22 to 26 hours, depending on the traffic situation.
