With the start of the holiday season in Crimea, there are many who want to relax under the warm sun. But every year vacation here becomes more and more expensive, but the conditions do not always correspond to the money paid. But having figured out some of the nuances, it is still possible to have an inexpensive and good rest in Crimea.
When is the best time to go to Crimea
It is best if you plan your trip to Crimea during the "low" or "velvet" seasons. The period of the last weeks of May and the first two weeks of June is considered low, but the velvet holiday season is called the first two weeks of September. During these periods, there is a small number of visitors to the beaches, as well as the absence of children who have not yet started, or have already ended their school holidays. Plus, the sun does not bake so well and the prices are not so high. In any case, there are certain disadvantages as well. In May, the sea may not yet be optimally warm, and in September it may rain. But there is more comfort on a half-empty beach, and prices will be much lower.
Cheap accommodation
For many, a real vacation is considered to be valid if a person is staying at a hotel, hotel or boarding house at a resort. Accommodation prices are quite high here, "all inclusive" is a loose concept, and is it possible to have a good rest if you constantly recalculate the remaining finances. If you need to save money, you should pay attention to housing in one of the villages far from secular cities such as Alushta, Yalta or Sudak. If you look more carefully, you can find pretty decent options in the vicinity for quite reasonable money. For example, the Malorechenskoye or Solnechnogorskoye villages located near Alushta are located only 24 kilometers from the city. Standard rooms in the private sector here cost from 70 hryvnia, if you add three meals a day, the amount will increase to about 100-120 hryvnia. But in Alushta, you will have to pay about 200 hryvnia per day of economical living, plus at least another 150 hryvnia for the same food. You can also go to the sea with a tent; in many resort towns, there are tent camps near the sea. Accommodation here is free, you only have to pay rent for parking, in the amount of up to 100 hryvnia per day, but the payment is taken for all vacationers, not per person.
How to save money on food
You can forget about eating in a boarding house with a small budget, but this does not mean at all that you have to starve and eat corn on the beach. In Crimea, there are many small cafeterias and eateries where you can buy the same pilaf or salad not for 50-100 hryvnia, as in a restaurant or boarding house, but for only 25-50 hryvnia. You can ask the locals about good canteens, they will tell you where you can have a cheaper snack. In large Crimean cities there are always canteens, where prices are quite pleasant. If you are staying in the private sector and there is a kitchen there, you can prepare your own food. In this way, you can save even more.
In order to save money on excursions, you need to plan your trip well in advance. It is worth exploring the bus routes from big cities, as well as the ticket prices for the places you wish to visit. They may change depending on the time and season. To save money on souvenirs, you need to buy them in the depths of the village, since they are much more expensive on the beach.
