Lithuania is a country that has signed the Schengen agreement, it is a member of the European Union. To visit it, Russian citizens will need a visa. For a tourist visit to Lithuania, you need to apply for a category C tourist visa. For Russian citizens, there are also simplified visas for short-term transit, for example, by train.
Instructions
Step 1
The validity of the passport must exceed the validity of the requested visa by 3 months. It is obligatory to have two blank pages for a visa.
Step 2
Application form completed on the website of the Lithuanian Embassy. Filling is allowed only via the Internet. After you finish, a bar code with your encrypted personal data will be generated, you need to print it, as well as the completed form. After printing it must be signed. Glue a color photograph of 3.5 x 4.5 cm to the application form.
Step 3
Copies of pages from a Russian passport containing the following data: personal information, information about children, marital status, registration and issued passports. Do not forget to take your Russian passport with you to the embassy.
Step 4
Confirmation of hotel booking (for example, it can be a fax from the hotel or a printout from the website from the Internet), which contains all the details: names, dates, contact details of the hotel. If you are traveling on a business or private visit, you must provide an invitation issued in accordance with all the rules. Private invitations are certified by the Lithuanian Migration Service.
Step 5
Medical insurance and its copy. It must be valid throughout the entire stay in Lithuania. The amount of coverage is at least 30 thousand euros. You can show a policy issued on the Internet, but it must be signed.
Step 6
Financial documents. Usually this is a bank statement, which must have at least 40 euros for each day of stay in the country. An extract must be made no earlier than a week before the submission of documents. In some cases, they ask to show the movement of funds on the account for the last three months. You can attach traveler's checks, the consulate of Lithuania accepts them.
Step 7
Certificate of employment issued on letterhead. The document should indicate the position, salary, work experience, as well as contact information for management and the finance department. The certificate is certified by the seal and signature of the head.
Step 8
If your own funds for the trip are not enough, then you need to attach a letter from the sponsor and documents confirming his solvency (certificate of employment and account statement). You will also need a copy of the personal information page.
