Obtaining a visa to Lithuania does not pose a particular problem for Russians. It is enough just to be attentive to the preparation of the package of documents. Lithuanian short-term visa is a Schengen visa and gives the right to travel to all countries of the agreement. But the employees of the consulate require that when applying for a visa to their country, the main purpose of their stay should be it.

Instructions
Step 1
Lithuanian diplomats are very demanding about the package of documents for visas. You will have to provide them with documentary evidence of the purpose for which you are going to the country, where you are going to stay, when and how to return, and what to live on.
Step 2
If you have booked a hotel or apartment in Lithuania, the confirmation of the reservation will also serve as a justification for the purpose of the trip. In other cases, you will need an additional document, for example, an invitation from the host (it will also serve as a confirmation of residence) or a letter from the employer, etc.
Step 3
The Lithuanian consulate also requires visa applicants to confirm their financial solvency. In this capacity, traveler's checks are accepted, which can be bought at any bank, or a bank statement not older than one week.
The amount to be confirmed must be at least 40 euros per person for each day of the intended stay in the country. For example, for a trip for 10 days - 400 euros for one applicant and 800 for two.
Step 4
Requirements for an insurance policy are standard for Schengen: coverage of at least 30 thousand euros, valid throughout the entire territory of the agreement, valid for the entire duration of the trip. Additional restriction: Handwritten policies are not accepted. Only printed on the printer.
Step 5
You will also need to provide copies of the round trip tickets and their reservations.
Step 6
Requirements for a passport are standard: not older than 10 years, valid for at least 3 months after the intended return, at least two blank pages.
Additionally, you will need to present an internal passport with a mark of registration at the place of residence or another document confirming registration, and children - a birth certificate and a copy of it.
Step 7
The visa application form can be downloaded from the consulate website. Or fill it in electronically and print it out.

Step 8
The consular fee is accepted by the cashier of the consulate in cash in euros (35 euros for a regular visa and 70 for an urgent one), it is highly desirable without change.
Reception is conducted without an appointment, on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of treatment.
A ready visa is issued in 5 working days, the exact date will be announced when accepting documents.
