For many years the legendary cruiser Aurora has been permanently anchored at the Petrovskaya Embankment of the Neva, not far from the Nakhimov School. This is one of the many museum ships. To get there, you need to come to St. Petersburg on any day, except Monday and Friday.

Step 1
There is no metro station next to the cruiser. The nearest stations are Gorkovskaya and Ploshchad Lenina. The first is on the blue line. If you arrive in St. Petersburg by train at the Baltiysky, Vitebsky or Moskovsky railway stations, you will need to change trains at the Technological Institute station. From Ladozhsky railway station, you will also have to go with a change at the Dostoevskaya station. It is best to walk from Finland Station. If you are going to go to the Aurora directly from the airport, take a bus from Pulkovo to the Moskovskaya metro station, which is located on the same blue line as Gorkovskaya.
Step 2
Leaving the Gorkovskaya metro lobby, turn right and exit through Aleksandrovsky Park to the embankment. Turn left and walk along the Neva. Fifteen minutes later you will go to the cruiser "Aurora".
Step 3
You can also get to the cruiser from the Finlyandsky railway station, next to which is the metro station "Ploshchad Lenina". Exit the station or the metro lobby, cross the square to the Pirogovskaya embankment of the Neva and turn right. Soon you will come to one of the branches of the main St. Petersburg river and a cruiser docked. " You can go to it along the nearby Sampsonievsky Bridge. This road takes a little longer than from Gorkovskaya. The museum is open from 11 am to 5:15 pm, entrance fee is charged. There are benefits for children.
Step 4
The exposition of the museum is small, the inspection will not take very long, so it is reasonable to combine the excursion with other sightseeing. There are many of them in this area of St. Petersburg. For example, in the area of "Gorkovskaya" you can see the monument to "Guarding", not to mention the fact that on the way you will find the Peter and Paul Fortress. The Museum "House of Peter the Great" is also relatively close. It is also located on Petrovskaya embankment.
Step 5
In St. Petersburg, there is another place associated with the legendary cruiser. It is located in Oranienbaum, where the cruiser stood during the Great Patriotic War, covering the Oranienbaum bridgehead and its defenders from the sea. Now there is a small monument. To see it, you need to get from the Baltic Station by Oranienbaum or Kalishchensky electric trains to the Oranienbaum I station (you need to get into the head carriage). Going down from the platform and crossing the railway, you will see the road to the pier. Walk along it for several tens of meters. On the right you will see a small monument, the outlines of which resemble the bow of the famous ship.
