Instructions

Step 1

The Seliger lake system is located 400 kilometers from Moscow. You can get there by train # 603, which follows to the Ostashkov station. It departs from the Leningradsky railway station almost every day in summer, less often in winter. The schedule changes every year. Therefore, it is better to clarify the date and time of departure by calling the free reference phone: 8 (800) 775-00-00. The Ostashkov station is located in the city center. You can get from it to Seliger on foot, the travel time to the river station is about twenty minutes.

Step 2

Buses to Ostashkov stop near Tushinskaya metro station. Bus station address: Stratonavtov passage, house 9. They leave every day, after lunch. Specify the exact time of departure by phones: +7 (495) 232-61-83 and +7 (985) 143-47-12. You can buy a ticket at the bus station ticket office. The bus travel time is about seven hours, excluding traffic jams at the exit from Moscow.

Step 3

The fastest way to get to Seliger is by car. From Moscow you can go in two ways - along the Novorizhskoe highway, through Volokolamsk, Shakhovskaya, Zubtsov, Rzhev, and Selizharovo. Or along Leningradskoe via Tver, Torzhok and Kuvshinovo. The roads are about the same in terms of condition, they are quite comfortable.

Step 4

From the city on the Neva you can get to Seliger by train # 611 St. Petersburg - Velikiye Luki. It runs only in summer, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. Departure at 01:30, arrival in Ostashkov - around 9:00.

Step 5

By car from St. Petersburg, you need to follow the Moscow highway for about 300 kilometers. You can go through Demyansk or Torzhok. The second path is much longer, but taking into account the fact that on the first a substantial segment of the path (about 20 kilometers) is a dirt road, it may turn out to be faster.

Step 6

Almost all reservoirs of the Seliger lake system can be reached from the Ostashkov river port. It is located at 41 Leninsky Prospekt. Working hours: Monday - Friday, 10:30 - 19:30 (lunch 13:00 - 14:00). Saturday and Sunday are days off.
