Step 1
Decide what kind of passport you want to issue. The new generation passport has an electronic carrier and is valid for 10 years, the usual one - for 5 years. The fee for processing these documents is also different. For a new generation passport it is 2,500 rubles (for children under 14 years old - 1,200 rubles), for a regular foreign passport this amount is 1,000 rubles (for children under 14 years old - 300 rubles). The duty is not collected from residents of the Kaliningrad region.
Step 2
Fill out an application in the established form. You can find its form on the official website of the Migration Service of the Russian Federation. Please note that the application forms for the regular passport and the new generation passport are different. Print the application on one sheet on both sides in duplicate, certify with the seal and signature of the organization in which you work. If you decide to issue a new generation passport, you can apply electronically on the Portal of State and Municipal Services. This service is free of charge.
Step 3
Take 2 photos. Warn the employee of the photo studio that you need a photo for a foreign passport. They know the requirements for the image.
Step 4
Pay the state fee for obtaining a passport. You can find receipts and a sample of filling in the territorial body of the Federal Migration Service of Russia. Step 5
Attach to the general package of documents your internal passport and foreign passport, which has expired or is about to expire.
Step 6
Men between the ages of 18 and 27 are also required to provide a military ID with a mark on the end of military service, if it has been completed, or with a mark "not suitable" or "limited service".
Step 7
To obtain a passport for a person under 14 years old, it is necessary to attach a birth certificate with a mark of citizenship on the back to the package of documents. A legal representative submits documents to the FMS, he must provide his passport.
Step 8
Contact the territorial office of the Federal Migration Service during the hours allotted for receiving documents for issuing foreign passports. The term for producing a new passport is 1 month.
