Russian citizens need to obtain a visa in order to get to Cyprus. It should be noted that obtaining it is not as troublesome as visas of many other countries, and this often becomes decisive when choosing a place for a summer vacation.
Necessary
- - international passport;
- - photo 3, 5 * 4, 5 cm;
- - certificate of income from the place of work;
- - a copy of your passport.
Instructions
Step 1
When applying to the Consular Section of the Republic of Cyprus for an entry permit, you need to fill out a form. Also, do not forget to take your passport with you (the standard requirement - its validity must be at least three months from the last date of the intended stay in Cyprus), two color photographs measuring 3.5 * 4.5 cm (must be printed on the letterhead, where it is indicated position, work experience in this company and the amount of salary). You will be asked to present a certificate from your place of work, as well as copies of all pages of your Russian passport.
Step 2
I must say that if you have a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa, and you have entered the country that issued this visa at least once with it, then you can enter the territory of Cyprus without hindrance.
Step 3
For those travelers who are going to stay outside the island through the airports of Paphos and Larnaca, it is possible to obtain a visa using a simplified scheme. This is the so-called pre-approved visa or pro-visa. In order to receive it, you need to fill out an online form on the website of the Cyprus Embassy in Moscow. It is automatically sent to visa officers, who must check within 24 hours whether you are on the black lists.
Step 4
After that, a confirmation permission with a unique number is sent to the email address you specified. You will need to present it at the border, after which a mark will be put on your passport. To obtain this visa, a personal presence at the consulate is not required, it will only be necessary to provide scanned copies of supporting documents (hotel reservation in your name, round-trip air ticket).
Step 5
If you are going to Cyprus for a visit, you must, in addition to the documents already mentioned, attach to them a copy of the invitation from a private person, which must contain his passport details, the dates of the intended stay and the address of the inviting person's residence. This application must be certified by a Cyprus notary or a consular officer. You also need a copy of the passport of the inviting party.
