Vienna is recognized as one of the most beautiful European cities. Every year, many travelers go to the Austrian capital to wander the narrow streets, taste the classic strudel and visit one of the nearly 80 interesting museums. If you prefer more traditional museums, numerous palaces will open their doors for you. Of particular interest are the monument of Austrian Baroque Schönbrunn (the Vienna residence of the emperors), the Hofburg (the residence of the Habsburgs, today - the official house of the President of Austria), the Belvedere palace complex, the Liechtenstein palace-museum. If possible, visit the Museum of Art History, as well as the Albertina Museum, which has a unique collection of graphic paintings.

Liechtenstein Castle is considered a very funny and unique architectural monument. High massive walls are practically devoid of windows. However, the builders did not skimp on the pretentious decoration: many small turrets, balconies and jagged peaks. The most interesting places in the castle are the underground rooms, the chapel of St. Pancratius and the Great Hall.

It should be noted that Liechtenstein Castle is located at the edge of the natural landmark of the Austrian capital - the Vienna Woods. Here you can enjoy the views of the city from several viewing platforms, take a break from the hustle and bustle, and, in good weather, sunbathe on the emerald lawns. In the Vienna Woods on weekends, locals are very fond of walking and relaxing, and at one time it was often possible to meet Sigmund Freud or Franz Kafka here.
