According to a study by Virtualtourist.com, it turns out that the most delicious and varied food is prepared on the streets of Bangkok. The portal's experts were guided by the rating, where hundreds of thousands of travelers expressed their opinions. This list is dominated by the megacities of Asia.
Bangkok has long been renowned for its cuisine that is delicious, varied and nutritious. The Malaysian city of Penang was ranked third in the ranking for the quality of street food. Experts tasted: sour and spicy fish soup "assam laksa", round rice noodles, pancakes "roti", grilled meat in peanut sauce. All dishes turned out to be amazingly tasty and aromatic.
The fourth line of the “tasty” list was taken by Marrakesh, the sixth - by Ho Chi Minh, the seventh - by Istanbul, the eighth - by Mexico City, the top ten was closed by Belize. Only two European cities were in the ranking: Palermo - fifth, Brussels - ninth. In Brussels, you should definitely try Belgian waffles and snail and mussel dishes.
On the streets of Bangkok, food stalls are literally at every turn. For a European, their appearance is a bit unusual, but the food here is tasty, fresh and cheap. Traditional Asian main dishes are made from noodles and rice. Bangkok Street Food has been influenced by many cuisines of the world, because numerous guest workers bring here not only their families, but also gastronomic culture (products, habits, cooking technology). All this bizarrely mixed up and plentifully splashed out onto the streets of Bangkok.
You can watch the cooking process yourself. Chefs masterfully chop, cut, mix, boil, roast and bake. The eyes do not have time to follow the lightning-fast movements of their hands. As a result, in a few minutes you get a masterpiece that you just have to eat with pleasure and order something else, no less tasty and interesting.
A wide variety of BBQ grills are very popular in Bangkok. All kinds of food are collected, cut into portions and put on skewers made of wood. Almost everything undergoes "shampooing": meat, chicken, fish, seafood, pigeons, rice balls, vegetables and fruits. Bangkok's street food never rests, even the Chinese greeting "Chigola Ma?" means "Have you already eaten?"
