Instructions
Step 1
Form a group
Select participants based on age, fitness and goals for the upcoming hike. Different aspirations of people on the same team lead to conflicts and spoiled rest. For example, some want to get to the top of the mountain, which appeared around the bend, others - to overcome a couple more kilometers, and still others - to get to the coast faster and relax. If the goal of the route is agreed with everyone, the psychological situation will be good, the success of the hike is guaranteed.
Step 2
Distribute responsibilities
Choose the main assistants: navigator, repairman, cook, responsible for equipment. They will monitor safe traffic, coordinate it and provide a comfortable life on the shore.
Step 3
Conduct a briefing
Provide preliminary training. If the rest is limited to weekends, familiarize the participants with the theoretical course of the route along the river. Show the equipment, tell about the purpose of this or that item and the rules of behavior on the water.
Step 4
Take care of your equipment
The carrying capacity of the boat allows you to take the necessary load in order to better furnish the camp life. General equipment is characterized by bivouacking: preparing food, organizing sleep and rest, and carrying out repairs. These are tents, sleeping bags, rugs (foam), an ax, kettles, ladles and matches. Water trips are supplemented with special repair equipment and a set of rescue ropes 20-30 meters long.
Step 5
Collect personal belongings
Considering sunny weather, wear light clothing: shirt (T-shirt), shorts (breeches). To protect your head from the sun - a hat or panama. Summer shoes should not constrict your feet. Choose light sandals or beach flip-flops. Stock up on a change of clothing, a warm suit, a waterproof jacket, a rain cover, gym shoes, and a few pairs of socks. On the river, sunscreens will be in demand: sunscreen and dark glasses. In order not to suffer from mosquito and tick bites, take care of repellents. Don't forget to bring your toiletries and first aid kit.
Step 6
Pack your things
To be able to change into dry clothes on the shore, you need to put them in sealed packages. Use a large plastic bag that fits into your backpack. For documents, plastic cards, money and other valuables, it is better to take a separate small sealed bag. Place a sleeping bag at the bottom of the backpack, then spare clothes and shoes. Hygiene items, a bowl, a mug, a spoon and some products are stacked on top.
Step 7
Provide food
Choose high-calorie foods for a nutritious diet. The most popular for camping life are: a variety of cereals, pasta, stew, smoked bacon, crackers, sugar, condensed milk tea and coffee. Freeze-dried foods will not be superfluous: dry meat, soups and mashed potatoes in bags. A good appetite wakes up in nature, so provide nuts, cookies, dried fruits for snacks.
