Barcelona El Prat International Airport is the largest in Catalonia and the second in terms of passenger traffic in Spain. Located in the southwestern part of the city, 10 km from the center. El Prat is connected to Barcelona by expressway, rail and bus connections.
Instructions
Step 1
Take the train. An electric train runs to El Prat Airport from El Clot Arago Station. You can also go from Passeig de Gracia, Barcelona Sants, Bellvitge, El Prat de Llobregat stations. Rail traffic to the airport starts at 5:21 local time and ends at 22:55 hours. Trains leave approximately every 20-30 minutes. Travel time from the starting station is 22 minutes. You can take the Bustransit T1-T2 bus between the terminals. During the daytime, it departs every 6-7 minutes, at night - every 25 minutes.
Step 2
Go by bus. There are several routes to Barcelona Airport. Aerobus A1 takes you from the Plaza Catalunya stop to Terminal T1. The fare will be 9, 95 euros. On the Aerobus A2 you will get from the same starting point to Terminal T2. The fare will be the same.
Step 3
In addition to direct flights, buses from other routes can be used to get from the city center to the airport. From the southern part of the city (stop Castelldefels) you can take Line L99. The fare will be 2 euros. The bus runs from 6.00 to 21.30 every 30 minutes. Line L77 bus leaves from the western part of the city to the airport. The beginning of the movement is 6:05, the end is 21:45 h. The bus starts from the Sant Joan Despi stop every 20 minutes. From the Plaza Espanya stop, take Line L46 from 5:00 to 00:15. Line PR1 departs from El Prat de Llobregat stop. The starting time is 5:30 am and the end is 10:45 pm. The fare for all city buses, except for express buses, is 2 euros.
Step 4
Get there with your own car. To get to the airport from the south of Barcelona, take the C-32 motorway. If you are traveling on the national road N-340, you need to follow to El Vendrell. Then turn onto the C-31 highway (referred to in some sources as Costas del Garraf). From the northern part of the city, the fastest way to get to the airport is via the Ronda de Dalt and Ronda Litoral motorways.
