Finland is a member of the European Union, therefore, Russian citizens need a valid Schengen visa to enter the country. If you decide to apply for a visa yourself, you will need to contact the Visa Section of the Embassy or the Finnish Visa Center in Moscow, the Consulate General in St. Petersburg or the Consulates of Murmansk and Petrozavodsk.
It is necessary
- - a passport valid for at least 3 months after returning from a trip, and having two free pages;
- - photocopies of the completed pages of the internal passport;
- - completed and signed application form;
- - color photograph 3, 6x4, 7 cm;
- - a medical insurance policy, valid in all Schengen countries, with a coverage amount of at least 30,000 euros;
- - confirmation of hotel reservation or invitation;
- - round trip tickets;
- - certificate from the place of work on letterhead indicating the position and monthly salary;
- - confirmation of financial solvency (bank statement, etc.);
- - payment of the consular fee.
Instructions
Step 1
The first step is to fill out the visa application form. It must be completed in English, on a computer or in block letters. Don't forget to sign it.
Step 2
If you are submitting documents to the Visa Section of the Embassy, an advance registration via the Internet is required. You can submit documents to the Visa Application Center either by appointment or on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is possible by phone (495) 662-87-39 (on weekdays from 8:00 to 19:00) or on the website of the Visa Application Center.
Step 3
If you are traveling to Finland by invitation, attach the original or a copy of the invitation to the main documents. If you are traveling at the invitation of a Russian citizen residing in Finland, you must provide copies of documents authorizing his stay in the country and a copy of the spread of his passport.
Step 4
Pupils and students must attach a certificate from the place of study, a copy of the student card and a sponsorship letter from parents.
Step 5
For pensioners - a copy of the pension certificate and a sponsorship letter or financial documents (an extract from an international bank card or other documents confirming the availability of funds).
Step 6
Non-working citizens need to attach a sponsorship letter or documents confirming financial viability (bank statement, passbook, traveller's checks, etc.).
Step 7
Children will need the following documents: in addition to the main package of documents, you must provide a copy of the birth certificate and a separate completed application form.
Step 8
If the child is traveling with one of the parents, a copy of the notarized consent from the other parent will be required. If the child is traveling with an accompanying person, a copy of the notarized consent from both parents will be required. In the absence of the second parent, you will need to provide a copy of the certificate of the single mother or a certificate from the police stating that the whereabouts of the second parent are unknown.
