Consider the scheme of the St. Petersburg metro. You will see five lines on it, each of which is indicated by a number and corresponding color. The lines also have well-established names, often including the names of the stations located on them:

Pay attention to the transfer stations, where passengers have the opportunity to switch to another line without leaving the metro. Today there are seven such transfer hubs. They are depicted on the map as circles, divided into two or three colored sectors. The colors reflect those metro lines that intersect at a given point. Transfer hubs are located in the central part of St. Petersburg.

To calculate the route, first select the departure station, and then the point where you intend to arrive. An information window will appear in the upper left part of the diagram, which will indicate the approximate travel time in minutes and the number of transfer stations. In addition, the recommended route will be highlighted in yellow. The travel time along the route is calculated from the moment the passenger enters the lobby of the metro station.
