A visa is a document that allows a person to cross the borders of a certain state and stay on its territory for some time. In some countries, it is issued right at the border, while to visit others, a visa must be issued in advance.
Countries where visa is issued upon arrival
Visas at the border are issued by Egypt and Turkey, although you will need to pay from 15 to 20 dollars for it. Upon arrival, a visa is issued in the Dominican Republic (for 30 days), Indonesia, Iran, Jordan, the Maldives and Seychelles. You can also get an entry permit right at the airport in Bangladesh and Bahrain, Nepal, Syria, Cambodia, Bolivia, Ethiopia, Kenya and Mozambique.
Countries requiring prior visa processing
When visiting any European country, you must obtain a Schengen visa in advance. The first time it is, as a rule, issued for 30-90 days, the second - for six months. Schengen visa processing takes from 3 to 21 working days, depending on the country and the number of tourists. This permit is required to enter Germany, Portugal, Czech Republic, Austria, Greece, Belgium, Hungary, Denmark, the Baltic States and others that are part of the European Union.
Visiting the UK requires a special visa, which is often much more difficult to obtain than a Schengen visa. Moreover, the passport after the expiration of the visa must be valid for six months.
