Previously, to buy a train ticket, you had to visit the station, now you can purchase a travel document without leaving your home. To save your time, and in some cases money, you just need to have a bank card available.

Step 1
Make sure that you can use your card to pay online. The easiest way to find out is to contact support with a request to provide you with this information. Also note if there is a three-digit number (CVV2 / CSV2 code) on the back of the card on the signature strip. If so, the card will work.
Step 2
When buying a train ticket, go to the official website of Russian Railways, register on it and enter information regarding the destination, time and date of departure. Choose a suitable train and carriage.
Step 3
Fill out the form that will appear on your screen after confirming your choice of train. Write your last name, first name and patronymic. Also indicate the series and number of your passport or other document confirming your identity. Check the entered data very carefully, because the conductor will have the right to refuse you if the information on the ticket does not correspond to reality.
Step 4
Click on the "Pay" icon. You will see a page on which you will be asked to enter your card details. Indicate the number of the card, which is located on its front side. Check the spelling carefully. If even one number is incorrect, the payment will not go through.
Step 5
Specify the expiration date of the card. As a rule, it is located at the bottom of it and is indicated with a slash. First comes the month and then the year.
Step 6
Enter your first and last name in the same way as on the card. Do not forget to include the CVV2 / CSV2 code.
Step 7
Cards of some banks ask for confirmation of the payment made for security reasons, so a password will be sent to the phone specified when creating the card, which you will need to enter in the field provided for this.
Step 8
Wait for the payment to be made. Only then will you be able to return to the registration of your paid ticket.
