Gone are the days when you had to stand in line and talk to a tired cashier to buy a train ticket. Now you can order it online and pay without leaving your home.
Instructions
Step 1
You can order a ticket online on the Russian Railways website or on the pages of intermediary sellers (usually travel agencies). In the first case, you will definitely need to register on the site, in the second, this option is used optionally.
Step 2
In the special search form on the site, enter the name of the point of departure and the city where you want to go by train. Also include your travel date.
Step 3
As a result of the search, you will be presented with a list of trains that follow the desired route. You can additionally find out information about them by clicking on the name and number of the train - a new page will display the names of the cities that you will pass, the date and time of passage through each of them and the availability of free seats.
Step 4
Select suitable trains in the list and click "Next".
Step 5
Select the type of carriage in which you want to ride. If different types of passengers are required for all the passengers you are ordering tickets for, you will have to create a separate order for each of them.
Step 6
The system will ask you to indicate the number of train tickets, and then enter the details of each passenger. This should be the first name, patronymic, last name, series and passport number.
Step 7
Please carefully check all the specified data before proceeding to the next step. You will be solely responsible for any possible error.
Step 8
Click on the "Buy" or "Checkout" link. You will be transferred to the ticket payment page. To transfer money, indicate your name and surname, bank card number and expiration date and its three-digit code.
Step 9
After payment you will receive your order form. It will contain a 14-digit number, without which a ticket cannot be obtained. Print out the form and go to the train station.
Step 10
You can issue the ordered tickets at the ticket office of the station (on the territory of the Russian Federation) equipped with the Express system, at the electronic ticket registration desk or in the terminal.
