Going on vacation, we try to plan it in advance in order to have time to relax, see interesting places and buy souvenirs. You can book excursions in advance, or you can walk around all the main attractions, spending just one day on it.

It's worth starting with the Cathedral of Santa Maria Gloriosa. The only cathedral in which you can see the work of Donatello in the form of a statue of the Baptist John. In the choir hall there are 120 armchairs with images of saints. The bell tower of the cathedral reaches a height of about 70 meters.

To the right of the temple, you will see the Scuola Grande di San Rocco. Scuola was built to get rid of the plague. The townspeople erected it in honor of Saint Roch, to keep the relics. From the scuola head towards Rio Terra Secondo and you will come across Palazzo Ca 'Pesaro.

Palace Ca 'Pesaro was built by a wealthy Venetian family. The works of Bellini and Titian were kept there, but now they are not there, a couple of centuries ago they were sold. To go further along the route, go towards the embankment and, passing by the market (by the way, the oldest in the city), you will reach the Rialto Bridge.

The bridge looks great in photographs and looks breathtaking from any angle. From there, walk down Calle Castelli. Piazza San Marco will appear in front of you. The square looks just huge compared to the narrow streets along which the route lies mostly. In the center of the square there is another attraction - St. Mark's Cathedral.

The very last point is the Doge's Palace. It was built in the 15th century. You can go inside and feel the whole atmosphere that has been preserved here for centuries.
