Anapa is located in the Krasnodar Territory, in the south of Russia. The city stretches right on the Black Sea coast. It was founded in 1781 and received the status of the current settlement in 1846. Almost 67 thousand people live in Anapa, but every year and especially every summer this number increases by almost half due to the large flow of tourists.

This Kuban city is surrounded by forested Caucasian foothills filled with blooming and very fertile valleys. Moreover, the rest of the flat areas are interspersed with sea estuaries. It is Anapa that is a very preferred vacation spot for tourists, since the summer heat in it is constantly softened by the cool wind blown from the sea.
There is also known such a geographical definition as the Anapa bay, bordering the sea in a smooth arc, due to which a very convenient and beautiful city bay is formed. The sea in it is characterized by shallow water, due to which the bay warms up well in summer.
How to get to Anapa
Of course, the easiest way to get to Anapa is from Krasnodar, since the distance between cities is 170 km, and from Sochi - 360 km.
From the Kazansky railway station of the Russian capital, train number 012M, going straight to Anapa, departs with its final point of arrival in the city itself and the travel time is at 23:45 hours. But this route is the only direct one, so the amount of space on it is rather limited and often the train cannot accommodate everyone. In this case, it is best to take a train from Moscow to Krasnodar, and from the regional capital, take a bus. Then you can use several variants of trains with numbers 104B (with the final point of Adler and travel time at 19:22 hours, and this rolling stock is two-story), 030С (Novorossiysk and 20:12 hours on the road) and 305С (Sukhum, Abkhazia and 31:32 o'clock).
There are no railway routes from the northern capital directly to Anapa, but in this case, you can use the branded train 035A "Severnaya Palmira" with the final stop in Adler. It is best to get to Krasnodar on it, and then by the same bus, and the travel time will be 33:28 hours.
The distance to be covered by car from Moscow to Anapa is 1,500 kilometers. Moreover, the path will run through Voronezh and Rostov-on-Don, as well as very close to the territory of Ukraine. First, you will need to go to Varshavskoe shosse, then to the M4 highway, then to the A146, A144 highways and again to the A146, then on the A290 highway, which will lead to Anapa. The distance between the northern capital and the resort town is 2200 kilometers.
All federal highways running from the capital to Anapa are quite comfortable for driving. So, the M4 road was reconstructed in 2009-2010, but you should be patient, as there are a lot of people who want to drive along it to the Black Sea in the summer. Therefore, already in the territory of the Kuban there are frequent traffic jams, congestions, both in one direction and in the other direction, especially since numerous trucks, delivering products from the Black Sea ports, follow from the coast to the Russian regions.
Smaller trails, such as the A290, are rich in steep descents and ascents, which forces the driver to be more attentive. In general, the entire road to the Krasnodar Territory is comfortable, but you should not greatly increase the speed on the way to the desired rest, since, firstly, you need to think about your own safety, and secondly, the guests of the Kuban are met by numerous traffic police officers.
