To obtain a visa to Russia, a foreigner can present an invitation from a citizen of the Russian Federation as a confirmation of his goals. To do this, you need to contact the department of the FMS of Russia. Some paperwork will be required.
Instructions
Step 1
Application to issue an invitation. A sample form can be downloaded from the FMS website or asked to issue it at the department. The application contains the name, surname and patronymic of the inviting person, his passport data (number, date and place of issue, unit code), address of the place of residence. You also need to indicate information about the invited foreign citizen: his full name (in Russian and in Latin), date of birth and place, citizenship, place of residence, passport number, date of issue, gender. It is also necessary to inform the purpose of the visit of the invited person and describe the proposed route of this person in Russia. If the invitation is issued by an organization, then instead of passport data they write its full name.
Step 2
The identity document of the inviter. As a rule, a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation is used.
Step 3
A copy of the passport of the person you are going to invite. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of the period for which a person is applying for a visa or planning to travel to Russia.
Step 4
A letter of guarantee that you agree to undertake obligations for the maintenance and material support of the guest for the entire period of his stay in Russia. You also agree to take care of his medical attention if necessary.
Step 5
Certificate of income, which should be sufficient to provide the specified foreign citizen for the entire period of his stay in the country. You can attach a bank statement.
Step 6
Paid receipt for state duty for inviting a foreign citizen. This is not always necessary, you need to specify separately whether you need to pay the state fee to the FMS. You also have the right not to include a receipt at all if you do not want to.
