Tsaritsyno is a historical and architectural museum-reserve and a palace and park ensemble in the south of Moscow. This is one of the most beautiful parks in Moscow. The Tsaritsyno palace and park ensemble is an important monument of Russian architecture. You can get there by public transport and car.
In the State Historical, Architectural, Art and Landscape Museum-Reserve Tsaritsyno, you can find something to do for every taste. You can enjoy the masterpieces of architecture of the 17th and 18th centuries, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the life of the Russian aristocracy. Sightseeing tours of the estate and other architectural objects of the complex are conducted. You can take a walk in the park, take a break from the noise of the city, go boating. Various concerts, events for children are held here. It also houses the first landscape park in Moscow, which began to take shape back in the 18th century.
After the reconstruction, the park has become one of the favorite recreation places for Muscovites. A lot contributes to this and the fact that the park is not at all difficult to get to.
By public transport
The Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve is within walking distance from the Tsaritsyno and Orekhovo metro stations. Both stations are on the Zamoskvoretskaya (green) metro line. From the side of the Tsaritsyno station there is an architectural ensemble, and from the side of the Orekhovo metro station there is a forest-park part.
The way from the Tsaritsyno metro station to the park will take no more than ten minutes. Follow the signs towards the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. After leaving the lobby, turn right. After exiting the metro, the railway tracks will be visible. There is a tunnel under them that you need to go through. Next, you need to go straight along the pedestrian crossing. Behind it is the main entrance to the Tsaritsyno park.
The way from the Orekhovo metro station will take even less time. Exit the metro following the signs towards the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve. Immediately at the exit, on the left side, you will see the entrance to Tsaritsyno. Behind it is a forest-park part. The way to the palace and park ensemble will take some more time (it is more convenient to get there from the Tsaritsyno metro station).
You can also get to Tsaritsyno by bus 151 (stop "Tsaritsyno"). Buses of routes 117, 274, 275, 704, 711, 758, 765 follow to the stop "Orekhovo metro station", which is located right at the entrance to the forest park part of Tsaritsyno.
By private car
You can get to Tsaritsyno by car from the side of Novotsaritsyno highway. You can also drive along the Kashirskoye highway, turning onto Shipilovskaya street in the Orekhovo-Zuevo area.
The address for the forest park zone is Shipilovsky proezd, vl. 39, building 2 (no parking). The address of the palace and estate zone is Tyurin Street, 2. Here, outside the fence, there are two free parking lots where you can park your car.
