Step 1
Get a temporary residence permit in the Dominican Republic. You can do this by becoming the owner of real estate in this country. Real estate can be residential, and must cost no less than the amount determined by the legislation of the Dominican Republic.
Step 2
If you do not have enough money to purchase real estate, collect the necessary documents for obtaining a residence permit and leave for the Dominican Republic. Entry to this country for citizens of Russia is visa-free. You will be given a residence permit in a short time if you have a birth certificate, passport, marriage certificate (divorce, change of name) and after passing tests at the medical center of the Ministry of Immigration.
Step 3

Step 4
Get a permanent residence permit. If you are the owner of real estate in the Dominican Republic, you can apply for a permanent residence permit as early as 6 months after receiving a temporary one.
Step 5
If you do not have real estate, you have the right to apply for a permanent residence permit only after 9 months of the temporary residence. Your passport will begin to be issued after a year from the date of obtaining a residence permit. The term for issuing a passport is a year.
Step 6
One year after receiving your permanent residence permit, start applying for the citizenship of the Dominican Republic. The term for obtaining citizenship is also a year.
