Vladivostok is often presented to the inhabitants of the European part of Russia as almost another end of the world. In reality, a flight to the administrative and business center of Primorye takes no more than hours-long flights to India, China or Indonesia, which have long become the norm for Russians.
Direct flight

Direct flights from Moscow to Vladivostok are carried out daily by the two largest Russian air carriers - Aeroflot and Transaero. For such long flights, companies use only long-haul and very spacious aircraft: Airbus-330, Boeing 747 and Boeing 777. At the same time, the total flight length of the companies differs by only half an hour.
The region also has its own airline - Vladivostok Air, which is the leader in transportation in the Far East. Until last year, it was an independent commercial enterprise, but in 2013 it became part of Aeroflot.
To Vladivostok with a transfer, or How many hours can you spend on the way
The second, more labor-intensive way is to fly to Vladivostok with one or several transfers. In this case, the time spent on the road can double or even triple. A change to a flight to Vladivostok is usually done in several cities: as a rule, in Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk. Sometimes there are several transfers and then the journey is even longer. For example, in any ticket service you can find a route for the strong in spirit: Moscow-Khabarovsk-Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk-Vladivostok. Travel time is 35 hours.
The most persistent can try to get to Vladivostok by train in just 6-7 days. or by car - in this case, the journey will take more than a week (about 7-10 days).
Flight cost
The greatest demand for tickets to Vladivostok is in the summer period, so the cost of flights in the warm season is higher than usual. The rest of the time, with advance booking (at least a month or more), a roundtrip ticket for a direct flight will cost about 12-14 thousand. And if you plan your trip in advance - for example, 4-6 months in advance - there is a chance that the purchase will be even more profitable.
With regard to flights with transfers, the cost of tickets for them is often higher than for direct flights, and given the long flights, their meaning seems to be irretrievably lost.
If you travel by your own car, you will have to pay even more: the amount of money spent on gasoline only in one direction is at least 20 thousand rubles.
However, the hardest thing in Vladivostok is to adapt to something else - the time difference, which is 7 hours with Moscow (upward). Therefore, when planning a trip, it is advisable to lay in a few days for what is called jetlag (jet lag syndrome) among professional travelers.
