The number of island states that host tourists is large. These are Cuba and the Dominican Republic, and, of course, the Maldives. There are several ways to leave the resting place, including by water transport.
Instructions
Step 1
If you are vacationing on the Caribbean coast, in the Dominican Republic or Cuba, sailing home across the ocean, of course, will not work. But it is quite possible to make a boat trip on a yacht to the neighboring small islands. There is no need to contact your tour operator for this. Agree to travel directly with the captain of the vessel, it will be much cheaper. Discuss how long you are renting the yacht. Do you need fishing equipment, do you plan lunch. Make a small prepayment. In case of cancellation of the trip, the money will be returned to you.
Step 2
Rent a small kayak or kayak if you just want to swim along the shore. In all-inclusive hotels, especially in Latin America, the use of this water transport is already included in the price. In the Red and Mediterranean Seas, boat rentals will have to be paid. But it is not expensive at all, and the view from the open sea is beautiful.
Step 3
You can get from any of the Maldives to the capital Male, where the airport is located, only by air or water. By plane, of course, it is more convenient and faster. But it also costs a lot. But travel by motorboat is relatively cheap. On average, a trip from not the most remote island to the central city takes two and a half to three hours and costs twenty five to forty dollars per person. In calm weather, it turns into an interesting boat trip. But during a storm, give up this method of transportation. Wait out the bad weather on the island, or hit the road by air.
