How to spend the night in the forest

It is necessary

  • - matches;
  • - ax.

Instructions

Step 1

In the spring or autumn, when it is already cool, prepare your bed as follows: make a fire that is the size of a human body in terms of the occupied area. In the process of burning, you can dry clothes, shoes, keep warm, and also cook food if you have utensils.

Step 2

For further arrangement, prepare spruce branches. After the fire burns out, move it 2 meters to the side and light it up again. The fireplace must be thoroughly cleaned of coals with twigs.

Step 3

Then lay spruce branches on the heated ground. Now you can get ready for bed - the warmth will remain until the morning. It is recommended to sleep in the forest, taking off your shoes and outerwear, which can be covered like a blanket.

Step 4

If the night is in the forest in winter in severe frosts, then the overnight stay will be extreme. However, in this case, you can provide yourself with heat in the presence of matches and an ax. Experienced hunters claim that maximum comfort in this case is possible when making a bonfire of a special design, called "nodya". To make a node, cut two logs and stack them on top of each other with a gap of 3 cm between them.

Step 5

Fire up the node with small sticks and paper placed in the gap. It is necessary to light the upper part of the lower log and the lower part of the upper one, but do not allow a strong flame. After a while, the logs simply begin to smolder, which ensures efficiency and good, long-term heat transfer of such a “fireplace”.

Step 6

On one side of the node, a semicircular screen should be built out of tarpaulin or any other means at hand. To do this, you can use tree branches, propping them up with snow.

Step 7

You need to settle for the night with your head to the screen, along the node. If there are two sleeping, then on opposite sides of it. It is better to use hazel branches as bedding. Despite the frost, you must also take off your shoes and cover yourself with outerwear.
