Step 1
As in most of Ukraine, nature in Zaporozhye delights with its calmness and regularity. The most popular vacation spot in this area is the Khortitsa island, which is located in the city of Zaporozhye. For many years this picturesque place served as a real fortress, inscribed in the natural relief of the area. To this day, there are burial mounds, Scythian burials, which, in fact, today are an open-air museum. It is believed that there were 28 Scythian burial grounds, but only three have survived to this day; in 2008, 5 more were reconstructed, including the famous sanctuary of Areus.
Step 2
In the southern part of the island you can visit the folklore and ethnographic equestrian theater "Zaporozhye Cossacks". The theater offers real costume reenactments based on historical events. There are also numerous souvenir shops, horse rental, cafes and even a banquet hall.
Step 3
While in Zaporozhye, do not forget to visit numerous museums, for example, tourists are fascinated by the Museum of the History of the Zaporozhye Cossacks, which is located in the north of the island. Here are collected artifacts from the times of Kievan Rus, the formation of Orthodoxy and to the present day. Nearby is the historical complex "Zaporizhzhya Sich", from which you can walk along the "Taras trail" - memorable places associated with the name of Taras Shevchenko.
Step 4
It is possible that being on the island, you will be taken to a big event: a reconstruction of historical events. Typically, these events take place between July and mid September.
Step 5
In the city itself at 189 Lenin Avenue (this is the center) there is a large private Museum of Weapons, the collection of which is based on the collection of V. Schleifer. There is, perhaps, everything here: rifles, shotguns, machine guns, pistols and pistols, chain mail, sabers, swords, swords, axes. As in most private museums, there is also a restoration workshop, as well as an appraiser and an expert, so the collection is constantly replenished.
Step 6
If you are tired of history and you need to be filled with the beauty of culture, then visit the performances of the Music and Drama Theater. Mogara. With children, you can visit the Children's Railway. It is one of the largest in Ukraine. You can ride on it all year round, and the length of its path today is 9.4 km, along the way there are tunnels, a winter garden, an aquarium and a zoo.
Step 7
The most popular place in the city is the Zaporozhye circus. Well-known artists Yuri Nikulin, magicians of Kio and the Durov and Zapashny families performed on the arena of this circus. The level of performance is quite high and the prices are reasonable.
Step 8
Children will also be interested in the rollerdrome "Rola-Cola", the whole family can go rollerblading. An instructor can work with those who do not know how to ride. Extremals will love the Iron Bridge, a local landmark that has become such because of the bungee ride. Seconds of free flight, eyewitnesses say, remain in the memory for a lifetime.
