To visit India, citizens of Russia (and many other countries) require a visa. You can get it at the consulate at your place of residence. There is the option of obtaining a visa upon arrival in Goa, but this is only allowed in an emergency. It should be remembered that visa officers in India are reluctant to put visas on arrival, there is a high risk of refusal, after which you risk being left without a vacation. Therefore, it is recommended to make a visa in advance by collecting the necessary documents.
Instructions
Step 1
A foreign passport, which must be valid for at least six months from the end of the trip. It is obligatory to have two free pages for pasting a visa. A copy of the first page with the applicant's personal data should be made and attached to the documents.
Step 2
Completed visa application form. Since the beginning of summer 2012, the questionnaire can only be completed online, on the Indian government website. Before you start filling out, you should choose the address of the diplomatic mission to which you will take your documents. The application form is filled out in English, you need to follow the instructions from the embassy. Your profile will be assigned an individual number by which you can change or supplement the specified information.
Step 3
When the questionnaire is completed, you need to send it by clicking the button, and it will enter the database of the required diplomatic mission. You will receive a form with a barcode that encrypts all of your key data. It needs to be printed and signed. Don't forget to take this paper with you. You will also be prompted to save the profile. Do this, and then print it in duplicate, describing each in two places: under the photo on the first page and at the very end on the second page.
Step 4
Attach a 35 x 40 mm color photograph to the documents. It is possible, but not required, to upload a photo to the site while filling out the form.
Step 5
A copy of the pages from the Russian passport containing personal data and information about registration or registration.
Step 6
If you are traveling on a tourist visit, please attach a travel company voucher or hotel booking confirmation. The reservation must contain the following information: full name of the guest, dates of stay, type of room booked, hotel details and its full address, telephone and fax (if any). It is allowed to show confirmation in the form of a fax from the hotel or a printout from the Internet. It is not necessary to apply hotel reservations for the entire stay and in all cities.
Step 7
If you are traveling on a private visit, attach an invitation certified by a notary and a copy of the inviting person's passport (pages with information about the person's place of residence and personal data will be required).
Step 8
You also need to attach round-trip air tickets. If you are going after India to a third country, then attach tickets there, it is not necessary that they were to Russia.
Step 9
If you are requesting a multivisa, then attach a detailed description of your route in English, and also, if other countries are on your way with visas, demonstrate that you have visas. For multiple entry visas, it is necessary to show tickets for entry and exit from the country for each visit.
