The history of the Dmitrov Kremlin
The construction of Dmitrov began in 1154 by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky, and the center of this city was a fortress that protected from invasions. This is the only Kremlin to which no stone walls have ever been built. The fortress was protected by ditches and ramparts. The length of the shafts is 990 meters, and the height is from 7 to 15 meters. Then they built wooden walls and 10 towers, but in 1610 they were burned down. After that, they were never restored, since the Kremlin lost its defensive significance.
Previously, the building was entered through the Nikolsky or Egoryevsky gates, but now only Nikolsky gates have been restored and are working. In the 19th century, another entrance to the fortress was made, and in 2001 a monument to Yuri Dolgoruky was erected next to it.

The first and second tell about the Dmitrov noble estates, the third and fourth are devoted to the history of crafts and agriculture of this region, the sixth - the history of Russia, the seventh and eighth - the Great Patriotic War.
