But it is very important to collect all the documents correctly.
Instructions
Step 1
A completed application form, personally signed by the applicant. You can fill it out on paper, or in electronic form - electronic forms are processed faster. After completing the filling, you will be prompted to print the resulting document, which will contain a bar code with encrypted information about you. Then the application form must be sent to the visa center for further processing within two weeks. You must attach one photo of 35 x 45 mm, made on a light background, to the application form.
Step 2
Foreign passport valid for at least 90 days from the end of the trip. The passport must contain two free pages for affixing a visa.
Step 3
Copies of pages from a Russian passport with personal information and registration. If you live in St. Petersburg or the Leningrad region, but do not have a local registration, and your registration is temporary, then you need to attach a bank statement or a certificate from work. The rest of these documents are usually not required.
Step 4
Confirmation of travel purposes. If it is tourism, then you need to provide printouts from the hotel booking site or fax from the hotel. If this is shopping, then on a separate sheet you need to describe the route and goals, as well as attach tickets to the country. In the case of a private visit, an invitation and a copy of the host's identity card are attached.
Step 5
Medical insurance, valid on the territory of all Schengen countries, the amount of coverage for which will be at least 30 thousand euros. The period of validity of the policy should start from the moment you apply to the consulate. The website of the Finnish Embassy contains a list of accredited insurance companies; policies from other companies are not accepted for consideration.
Step 6
Additionally, you can attach the Schengen visa number of friends or relatives with whom you are going to travel together.
