There is a special border regime between Belarus and Russia, in which documents of those crossing the border are practically not checked. Nevertheless, you should have everything you need with you, since sampling is still carried out.
It is necessary
Russian passport or international passport
Instructions
Step 1
For Russian citizens, entry to Belarus is visa-free. If control is carried out at the border, then it is enough just to show a civil passport of the Russian Federation or an international passport. Usually the biggest thing border guards do is check if the passport really belongs to you.
Step 2
Belarus is visa-free for all CIS countries. Citizens of these states are not stamped in their passports. It is also visa-free for a number of other countries, but their representatives will already need to fill out a migration card upon entry.
Step 3
Spot checks are usually carried out only at road border crossings. On trains, as a rule, there are no checks at all. The train passes the border as if it does not exist at all, without stopping anywhere.
Step 4
If you enter Belarus by car, you should have the documents for the car with you. Despite the fact that they are usually not checked for their presence, the lack of the necessary papers can entail serious consequences. You need to bring your driver's license, vehicle registration certificate, Green Card car insurance.
Step 5
Children under 14 years old can enter the country with a birth certificate, while those over 14 years old must take care of carrying a passport. According to Russian law, if a child is traveling accompanied by third parties, he must have a power of attorney from his parents to cross the state border. This fact is not checked at the Belarusian border, but it is necessary to take care of the power of attorney so as not to violate the law of Russia.
Step 6
There are customs regulations for your baggage. Usually it is not searched, but if you have valuable things, it is better to declare them. You can import duty-free per person: no more than 2 liters of strong alcohol, up to 200 cigarettes, one wristwatch, no more than 5 jewelry, no more than 50 kg of personal items, the total value of which does not exceed 1.5 thousand euros, no more than three items clothing made of leather or fur. If you import something in excess of the norm, then you will have to pay a duty in the amount of 60% of the value of the things, but not more than 4 euros per 1 kg.
Step 7
It is forbidden to import the following things into Belarus: explosives, narcotic drugs, information on different media that poses a threat to the security of the state, medicinal plants.
