The Republic of Estonia joined the Schengen Agreement in December 2007, therefore the process of obtaining an Estonian visa is no different from the procedure for applying for a visa at the Finnish or Belgian Embassy. The only significant difference is that the questionnaire must be completed online.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the website www.mfa.ee/visa, enter your email address, select your language. Also, enter the symbols shown next to it in the special field, so the system will check that your profile is not filled out by a robot. Fill out the application online. A notification will be sent to your mailbox that the data has been received and that a registration number has been assigned to you. Print the form in one copy. Sign in paragraph 37.
Step 2
Take a color photo with a light background. The size should be 35 x 45 mm. Paste the photo into the special window on the profile.
Step 3
Get a health insurance policy. Policies are accepted only in printed form, filling in the form is not allowed. The minimum sum insured must be at least 30 00 euros (or 460 000 Estonian kroons), the territory of validity - all countries of the Schengen agreement.
Step 4
Book a hotel for your entire stay in Estonia. Attach your hotel voucher to your package of documents. Please be aware that hotel reservations made through www.booking.com will not be accepted.
Step 5
Buy air or train tickets. If you are driving a car, in order to apply for a visa, you need to provide a copy of the driver's license and technical passport of the car to the consular department. Please note that from 01.08.2011 it is necessary to book the time of crossing the border in the electronic queue. This rule applies to those traveling by private transport.
Step 6
Prepare documents proving financial soundness. Get a salary certificate from the accounting department of the organization where you work. Or make a bank statement.
Step 7
Make sure that your passport will be valid for at least another three months after the end of the trip, and it has 2 blank pages.
Step 8
Make an appointment at the consular section by calling 495-737-36-47. Tell the consul your registration number, bring all documents with you. Pay the visa fee of € 35. If all the necessary documents are available, the consular section of the Estonian Embassy in Moscow will issue a visa within 7-10 working days.
