Necessary

  • - international passport;

Instructions

Step 1

Before applying for a visa, check your passport. It must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of the end of the trip and contain two blank pages.

Step 2

Follow the link https://www.bmeia.gv.at/fileadmin/user_upload/bmeia/media/Vertretungsbeho..and prepare a questionnaire. Fill it out in English or German. Stick one photo on the application, and attach the other on the back of your passport (in the upper corner) using peel-off adhesive tape

Step 3

If you are traveling by invitation, remember that the document must contain an eight-digit identification number (EVE) and be signed by the inviting person at the local Aliens Police Office. If you are going to visit relatives, you must prove the degree of relationship.

Step 4

The certificate from the place of work must be on the letterhead of the organization indicating the salary for the last three months and the position you hold. If you are a self-employed person, please submit photocopies of your registration and tax registration certificates.

Step 5

Confirm the availability of funds with a statement from a bank card, account, savings book, etc.

Step 6

Pensioners and non-working citizens must attach a copy of their pension certificate, confirmation of the availability of funds (bank statement, etc.) or a sponsorship letter with a photocopy of the spread of the internal passport of the relative financing the trip, and proof of kinship.

Step 7

Students will need a certificate from an educational institution, a sponsorship letter, a photocopy of the passport spread of the parent or relative who bears the expenses, and documents confirming the relationship.

Step 8

For children, fill out a separate form and sign it. Attach a notarized copy of your birth certificate. If the child is traveling with one of the parents, submit a notarial permission from the other parent (original, copy), if the child is traveling with an accompanying person - permission from both parents (original, copy). If one of the parents is absent, get a certificate from the competent authorities.

Step 9

Submission of documents is carried out by appointment. Call (495) 5031833 (Monday through Friday) from 08:00 to 17:00 and make an appointment. Please note that the call is chargeable. The cost of a minute is 12, 45 euros. The service can be paid only with Visa or MasterCard bank cards.

Step 10

It is recommended that all documents (certificate of employment, bank statements, etc.) be translated in English or German.

Step 11

If you are going to travel by private car, attach to the main documents a copy of the driver's license, a copy of the car registration certificate and the Green Card international auto insurance policy (original, copy).

Step 12

Do not forget to fold the documents in the following order:

- invitation;

- a certificate from the place of work (for children - a birth certificate with a certified translation and permission from the parents);

- confirmation of funds;

- hotel reservation;

- travel tickets (vehicle registration certificate, license, Green Card);

- medical insurance policy;

- copies of previous Schengen visas;

- a copy of the spread of the passport.
