Otradnoe is a small town in the Kirovsky district of the Leningrad region. It is located in a very beautiful place in the middle reaches of the Neva, on its left bank. There are quite a lot of interesting things in Otradnoye. These are the famous Ivanovskie rapids, and the old post station, and the military memorial "Nevsky threshold", which is part of the Green Belt of Glory. It is gratifying to be intensively built, residents of the Northern capital willingly move into new houses.
Necessary
- - St. Petersburg metro map;
- - the schedule of electric trains from the Moscow railway station in St. Petersburg to Volkhovstroy.
Instructions
Step 1
The easiest way to get to Otradnoye is by train. Of course, if you look at the timetable of electric trains, which hangs at the Moscow railway station, you will not find the name "Otradnoye". But there are stations Pella and Ivanovskaya. This is exactly where you need it. To make it easier to find the right train, see the part of the timetable where the trains for Volkhovstroy, Nevdubstroy or Budogosh are indicated.
Step 2
If your excursion route includes not only Otradnoye, but several settlements located on the territory of the legendary "Nevsky Pyatachka", you can first see the sights in Shlisselburg, having arrived from the Finland Station to the "Petrokrepost" station and crossed to the other side, and already from there by bus # 440 to Otradnoye. There are many war memorials in this area. This route will be especially interesting for fans of military and extreme tourism.
Step 3
Those who prefer a bus need to get to the Rybatskoye metro station. It is located on the green line, almost at its very end. From there in the direction of Otradnoye there are several buses and minibuses. Routes such as No. 440, 440A, 682 are suitable for you. Bus No. 440 goes further to Kirovsk and Shlisselburg. Quite often you can see the letter "K" in front of the St. Petersburg bus number. This means that the route is commercial, that is, bus travel benefits do not apply.
Step 4
It happens that it is more convenient to get to Otradnoye not from St. Petersburg, but from the Kolpino or Tosno stations. For example, if you are coming from Moscow and decide not to visit St. Petersburg. In Kolpino you can take buses 483 or 483e. Bus # 687 goes from the railway station in Tosno towards Otradnoye.
Step 5
There is another settlement with the same name in the Leningrad Region. It is located in the Priozersk region. Priozerskoe Otradnoe is a popular meeting place for tourist groups going on water trips along the Karelian Isthmus. There are magnificent lakes nearby. In addition, many lovers of quiet hunting come here in autumn - there are a lot of mushrooms and berries in these parts. You can get there by train from Finland Station, by train going to Priozersk or Kuznechnoye (which, however, also go through Priozersk).
