Zheleznovodsk is located in the region of the Caucasian Mineral Waters. It is somewhat less popular than the world famous resorts in Kislovodsk or Pyatigorsk, but there are also several excellent health resorts here. Moreover, this small town is in a very beautiful location. You can get to Zheleznovodsk by car, plane, train or bus.

Step 1
As in any other resort town in Stavropol, two routes lead to Zheleznovodsk from the center of Russia - M-4 and M-6. Having chosen the first one, you should head from Moscow to Voronezh, and then to Rostov-on-Don and Armavir. On the second road, you will drive through Tambov, Volgograd and Elista. Both roads are quite decent, everywhere you will find where to sleep and have a snack, but M-4 is a little more busy.
Step 2
Once upon a time, Zheleznovodsk had its own railway station. Suburban trains stopped there. Now there is no direct railway connection with the city. If you go by train, it is best to take a ticket for the train going to Kislovodsk. Trains from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Vorkuta, Novokuznetsk, Yekaterinburg, Barnaul, Irkutsk and many other cities go to this large transport center of the Stavropol Territory. You need to go to the station "Beshtau". Before taking a ticket, you need to make sure that the train stops at this small station. In addition, not all trains of the southern direction follow through Beshtau, and those that go to Grozny, Nalchik or Vladikavkaz are less suitable for you than those going to Kislovodsk.
Step 3
If the train to Beshtau does not stop or even turns off to another branch, you can get off at Pyatigorsk or Mineralnye Vody. The advantage of this method with two transfers is that quite a lot of trains go through these stations, a total of about a hundred. From Pyatigorsk and Minvod to Zheleznovodsk you can take a bus or a fixed-route taxi.
Step 4
After getting off the long-distance train at any of these stations, change to a commuter train. They walk often, on average once every half hour. By train you need to get to the station "Beshtau". It is located about six kilometers from Zheleznovodsk. Buses and minibuses run regularly from the railway platform to the city. By bus number 10 you will reach the city in a few minutes. Taxi drivers will be happy to pick you up at the station.
Step 5
If you decide to fly by plane, you must take a ticket to Mineralnye Vody. It is a large airport that also receives international flights. There are a lot of planes, more than a dozen flights from Moscow and St. Petersburg every day. You can almost fly to Minvod by plane from any airport in Russia. In addition, you can get a direct flight to and from Tashkent, Yerevan, Istanbul and other major cities. There is a route taxi from the airport to Zheleznovodsk.
