Step 1
To the main resort of the Czech Republic by car
The city can be accessed from various directions. The E48 highway allows you to come to Karlovy Vary both from Prague and from the territory of Germany. The E442 road can be reached from the northeastern direction - from Teplice, through the town of Chomutov. A small road number 20 allows you to arrive in Karlovy Vary from the south from the cities of Pilsen and Ceske Budejovice.
Step 2
By train to Karlovy Vary
The city has two railway stations - Upper (Horní Nádraží) and Lower (Dolní Nádraží). The first one arrives by electric trains from Prague, Cheb, the central part of the Czech Republic and from the Czech-German border. From Moscow you can get to Karlovy Vary through the Upper Railway Station. Trains arrive at the Lower Station in Karlovy Vary from the resort of Marienbad, as well as from the German city of Zwickau.

Air traffic
There is an international airport in the city of Karlovy Vary. The airfield is capable of receiving aircraft such as Airbus A321 and Boeing 737. The city has regular passenger traffic only with Russian cities. Karlovy Vary can be reached by air from Moscow, Samara, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Tyumen.

Bus service to Karlovy Vary
The city can be reached by bus from Prague. A yellow bus from the capital's airport Ruzyne and the bus station "Florenc" runs hourly to the Lower Railway Station. Karlovy Vary also has a regular bus service with many other nearby settlements - Loket, Sokolov, Cheb, Frantiskovy Lazne, Ash.

Funicular to the center of Karlovy Vary
This unusual type of transport is located in the resort town. There are only two routes in Karlovy Vary. Lanovka Imperial allows you to get to the city from the hill on which the Imperial Hotel is located. The Lanovka Diana funicular descends travelers to Karlovy Vary from the Diana hill, where the restaurant of the same name is located.
