Ryazan is located 180 km southeast of Moscow. You can get there by car and any kind of public transport, except, perhaps, by plane. Each method has its own pros and cons.
Instructions
Step 1
Take an electric train journey. This is not the most comfortable and fastest way to get to Ryazan, but it has some advantages. Firstly, travel by train to Ryazan is inexpensive compared to other modes of transport, and, secondly, trains follow a strict schedule. They leave from the platforms of the Kazansky railway station at the Komsomolskaya metro station. Travel time is from three and a half to four hours. When planning the route, keep in mind that some summer electric trains are canceled in winter, and there are also small breaks in the schedule in the middle of the day.
Step 2
Take a trip by express - this is an electric train that makes one stop in Golutvin. Travel time is a little more than two and a half hours, although the fare is slightly higher in comparison with a regular train. In addition, you can choose a class of service, the first has TVs, and the seats are more conveniently located. There are three daily flights - morning, afternoon and evening.
Step 3
Purchase a long distance train ticket. Trains run through Ryazan to Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Samara, Ufa, Voronezh, and routes to the south. The cost of one reserved seat is approximately twice the price of a train ticket. Please note that some trains in the direction of Ryazan leave not only from Kazansky station, but also from Kurskiy. The departure timetable for electric trains, trains and express trains to Ryazan can be found on the official website of Russian Railways.
Step 4
Plan your coach trip. Quite comfortable vehicles leave from the bus station near the Vykhino metro station every hour. Also, several flights a day are carried out from bus stations on Shchelkovskaya Street and Ryazansky Lane. Buses arrive at the Ryazan Central Bus Station. You can get acquainted with the schedule on the carriers' websites.
Step 5
If you want to get to Ryazan by car, check if there are any traffic jams now. Departure from Moscow is best done from the Volgogradskoye or Ryazanskoye highway, depending on the traffic load, in the Tomilino area both roads converge into the Novoryazanskoye highway. To save time, it makes sense to go around Bronnitsy and Kolomna by the ring road, so the path will be a little longer, but you will not have to stand at traffic lights.
One of the advantages of traveling by car in spring is the opportunity to stop on the outskirts of Ryazan and see the famous flooded meadows. Within the city limits, Novoryazanka becomes Moskovskoye Highway, which in turn turns into Pervomaisky Avenue, leading to the historical center of the city.
