Every year, many ski enthusiasts are faced with the choice of a ski resort. You can ski downhill both here in Russia and abroad - it all depends on your preferences. Resorts vary significantly in the complexity of the ski slopes, the location relative to the hotel slopes, the presence of snow and after-ski entertainment.

Step 1
To choose the right ski resort, you first need to assess your skiing skills and, accordingly, choose a resort with suitable slopes. Of course, if you prefer to travel to the same place from year to year, then it's easier for you to decide. But if you want new experiences and interesting trips, then you need to carefully choose a place to stay.
Step 2
If you do not know how to ski at all and are going to a ski resort for the first time, then find out in advance about the presence of a ski school, where experienced instructors will quickly put you on skis (in three or four lessons). Most ski schools teach both adults and children. You can study with the whole family and ski together.
Step 3
If you are going to bring the necessary equipment for skiing (skis, boots, poles) with you, it is recommended that you first check with the airline for the allowance of ski equipment and excess baggage. Many of them provide free transportation of one set of equipment per passenger in winter. Choosing a resort, you can choose the most convenient in terms of flight and equipment transportation.
Step 4
Then you need to choose a hotel where you will stay during your vacation. Ideal in this case when the hotel is located directly on the highway or within walking distance from it. But if you want to save on the cost of the tour, then it makes sense to consider a hotel located at some distance from the highway.
Step 5
An important factor for many tourists who want to choose the right ski resort is the availability of entertainment at the resort (the so-called "après-ski": restaurants, bars, discos, clubs and shops). Alpine ski resorts are considered one of the best in the world, among them the mountain slopes of France (from the popular Val Thorens and Méribel to the fashionable Chamonix and Courchevel), Austria, Andorra and Italy.
