Champery is a small village in the Alps and a wonderful ski resort located in the south of Switzerland, right next to the Dents du Midi mountain, which is 3257 meters high.
Champery is part of the largest international ski area "Portes du Soleil", which brings together twelve French and Swiss resorts. There are 209 modern lifts in the entire area, the total length of the pistes is 650 kilometers.
The Champery village has not lost its originality, having turned into a famous resort: you can stroll along the narrow streets, admire the cute chalets, which traditionally have a slightly sloping roof. Here you will find an old bell tower. And the air at the resort is so clean that every breath gives incredible pleasure, especially to those who come from megacities shrouded in eternal smog.
Every year the skiing area becomes wider, and Porte du Soleil generally offers a ski without borders program.
The Champery resort undoubtedly deserves to be called a paradise that connects the two countries. Here you can relax perfectly, because there are various trails, steep snow slopes, lifts for guests. Both family people and couples come here.
Now in Champery there are about a dozen cozy hotels, several luxury apartments, chalets. In general, despite the fact that outwardly the resort looks like an ordinary village, it has a very developed infrastructure.
Recently, an ultra-modern sports center has opened in Champery, where there is a large skating rink, a huge swimming pool, there is even a special squash room, saunas, a solarium, a fitness center, a physiotherapy room.
Paragliding is very popular at the resort - anyone who wishes can jump together with an experienced instructor. There are many schools in Champery where you can learn to ski, snowboard. There is even a kindergarten for young skiers!
