However, some travelers prefer to travel exclusively in autumn, during the velvet season.
The first two autumn months are considered to be the velvet season. In September and October, the sea becomes very gentle and pleasant. Hence the name "velvet" came from: water literally envelops the body, giving very pleasant sensations.
Other delights of autumn recreation should be noted. Travel prices are going down slightly, as the main influx of tourists is significantly reduced. Velvet season: where to go without a visa?

If the main purpose of your trip is sunbathing and swimming, pay attention to the Greek islands. Crete, Rhodes, Corfu and others will welcome you with warm sand and light breezes. An excellent measured rest awaits you in Italian Sicily and Sardinia. The Spanish islands are less suitable for this purpose: it begins to get colder there already at the beginning of October.
Autumn time is a great opportunity to see the main attractions located on the mainland parts of Italy, Greece, Spain. The mild weather will allow you to enjoy the great monuments of history and architecture.
