Regular service between St. Petersburg and the Finnish capital is carried out by the sea carrier St Peter Line. You can buy tickets for the Princess Maria ferry connecting the two cities on the company's website or in various intermediary organizations.
It is necessary
- - international passport;
- - Finnish or other Schengen visa (optional);
- - bank card or cash.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the carrier's website. To go to the booking form, click the button offering to book a ticket online with a discount. It is located in the upper right part of the site's start page. You can also follow the link with the name of the ferry or its special offers.
Step 2
In the booking form, select the option of a trip: one way or round trip, if in both directions - a cruise or just two ways. The cruise is different in that you have to leave Helsinki on the same ferry and in the evening of the same day on which you arrived in the city. This option is cheaper than a round trip.
Step 3
Use the calendar to mark the date of your trip. Check out the window for the selection of special offers provided in the order form. Explore the options there and, if there is one that suits your trip, make the appropriate choice.
Step 4
Choose the required number of passengers and the cabin of the class that suits you in terms of price and requirements for comfort. On a one-way trip, you can also choose a seat in the male or female cabin, which can accommodate four passengers. This will cost significantly less than paying for the entire cabin, but not the best option when traveling with a family, especially with children.
Step 5
Enter the personal data of all passengers: name and surname in Latin letters (as in a passport), date of birth of each, series and number of the passport and visa data. If you do not have a visa yet (it is possible that a ferry ticket will serve as the basis for issuing it, especially if you are sailing on a cruise option), enter arbitrary data. Just do not forget to open your order later, when you receive your visa, and enter the current information.
Step 6
On the page for ordering additional services, select the ones of interest It makes sense to buy food on board: the food is good and satisfying, and the voucher will cost less than buying on board.
Step 7
Check if all order parameters are correct. If something is wrong, go back using the "Back" option and correct the mistakes. If everything is in order, go to the payment page.
Step 8
Enter the card number, name of its holder, expiration time and security code on the back. Give the command to process the order, if necessary, go through additional identification (for example, enter the one-time password sent by the bank via SMS) and wait for confirmation of the successful transaction.
Step 9
Record your booking number.
Step 10
If you are unable or willing to buy a ticket on the website, contact a travel agency that sells tickets for ferries from St. Petersburg and Helsinki. You can find a list of them on the website of the carrier company. Contact the agency with the details of the trip (round trip, cruise or one way, departure date, desired type of cabin). Do not forget to ask the travel agency workers if you can take advantage of discounts and special offers with your travel option. To issue tickets at a travel agency, you will need the passports of all passengers or the same set of personal data (name and surname, date of birth, number and series of the passport, visa data, if available), and for payment, cash or a plastic card, if the company accepts such for payment.
