All Russian citizens, without exception, need a visa to visit the United Kingdom of Great Britain. Since Britain has not signed the Schengen Agreement, even if you have a Schengen visa in your passport, it will not work for England. Likewise, having an English visa in your passport, you will not be able to enter the Schengen countries. For a tourist visa, you will need the following documents.

After completing and paying the visa fee, the applicant will receive his own registration number, after which it will be possible to choose the time of the visit to submit the documents. Then the system will generate an invitation to visit the visa center, you need to print it and have it with you when you submit your documents. After filling in, also print out the questionnaire, sign in the indicated place.

You will also need a certificate from the place of work with the indication of contact information. Be careful, the visa center staff can really call you at work! Individual entrepreneurs must provide a photocopy of certificates of individual entrepreneurship and registration with the tax service. Non-working people must justify the availability of funds for the trip. This may be a letter from the sponsor, then you will need an extract from his account and a certificate from his work.
Step 5
Pensioners need to attach a photocopy of the pension certificate, students and schoolchildren - a certificate from the place of study.
Step 6
Those who indicate "tourism" as the purpose of the visit should attach confirmation of hotel or apartment reservation for the entire duration of the trip. Those who indicated "private visit" must show an invitation. You will need to indicate in what relationship you are with the inviting person, and show documents confirming that this person is a resident of the country.
