Many of them are ancient, but there are also buildings - works of art, built by modern masters. It is quite a difficult task to unequivocally determine where the work of modern architects is, and where the ancient architects worked. And to list the names of all the temples is a task that is not at all feasible. And only when the construction has begun, one can speak with absolute certainty about the novelty.

At first it is just a gray inconspicuous box. It is hard to imagine that when the roof is made, the entire structure will be richly decorated with intricate figures and patterns, in this place a new temple will shine in all its glory. At the entrance, parishioners will be greeted by golden dragons, and the framing of the windows will amaze with the skillful work of the craftsmen. Sometimes it is not possible that all this beauty was created by ordinary people with their own hands. It is easier to believe that this is a creation of higher powers. The whole point, probably, in the dedication of those who are engaged in the creation of these masterpieces. How much patience and painstaking work is needed for the walls of the new church to delight people with their bright and varied decoration!

One of the newest and most unusual temples of Wat Rong Khun. The foundation was laid in 1997, but construction continues to this day. The temple is absolutely white, creates an impression of airiness and some kind of lightness. The best view here is at sunrise or sunset. The sun's rays are reflected from the snow-white stone, and it all looks unusually beautiful.

The next temple, built in 1844, is Wat Jed Yod or "seven peaks". It is called so by the number of sharp towers - chedi, located on its territory. The temple was built in the image of the nearby Jed Yod in Chiang Mai, and that is a copy of one of the Indian temples. The restoration of the main chedi of the temple took place quite recently; inside there are various statues depicting Buddha.

If you go up to the roof of the temple, you can get to a small platform from which you can enjoy the view of the entire temple complex - very picturesque.

It is surprising that despite the fact that in Thailand it is customary to decorate temples in a red and gold palette, this temple is made in red and silver. Apparently, this is the trend of Indian culture. The shrine of this temple is the famous Bo tree or in another way Bodhi. Under it, in various poses, are the figures of the Buddha. According to legend, it was under the Bo tree that enlightenment came to Buddha.

Admiring the frescoes on the ceiling of the temple, you can get acquainted with the astrological system adopted in Tae. It is amazing that with such a variety of temples in Thailand, each of them has its own memorable individuality, its own history. It is very difficult to understand them, but they are all admirable.
