Step 1
If you have access to the Internet, you can at any time go to the Russian Railways website (rzd.ru) and enter the main parameters in the search form: departure and destination stations and the date. By clicking on a specific train, you will be taken to a page with information about the number of seats, types of cars and fare.
If you have a bank card, you can immediately buy a ticket. It is also possible to deposit money through an instant payment terminal, but this must be done within 10 minutes from the moment of booking a place. You will also have to pay the terminal commission.
Step 2
To check the availability of seats in the terminal, set the key parameters of the trip using its touch menu. You can immediately select the option "Availability" or first view the schedule, then select the train of interest by pressing your finger and select the option "Availability and fare".
Step 3
Some transport agencies provide a service to inform passengers about the availability of seats by phone. His number can be posted in prominent places in the offices of the agency, at train stations, as indicated on its website.
You are required to dial it, wait for an answer and tell where, where and when you would like to leave. You can also name the number of the train you are interested in.
Step 4
You should also give the same information to the employee of the information desk or service center of the station, if you prefer to apply there in person. There may be a charge for this service.
