A long flight by plane is always stressful for the body. However, you can minimize it by properly preparing for the trip. Give yourself a little attention to make sure you feel good during the flight and perform well afterwards.
It is necessary
- - inflatable pillow;
- - knitted stole;
- - socks;
- - aromatic stick;
- - a tablet of soluble aspirin;
- - lollipops.
Instructions
Step 1
Choose the airline on whose planes you will feel as comfortable as possible. For long flights, foreign carriers are preferable. If you are not comfortable with flying, do not use charter flights, especially during the high season.
Step 2
Choose the right seat on the plane. For long intercontinental flights, it is preferable to choose seats in business class - it is much more comfortable there. If this is not possible, ask for a seat at the entrance to the plane, where the distance between the seats is greater. If you like looking out the window, choose a chair by the porthole, and for those who want to stretch their legs during the flight, it makes sense to take a seat near the aisle.
Step 3
Stock up on an inflatable pillow and a sleep mask. It is not bad to grab a cozy knitted stole from home - it is much more convenient than the thorny blankets on duty that are handed out on planes. Put a small scent stick with peppermint or lavender oils in your bag to relieve sudden nausea.
Step 4
Grab a meal at home before your flight - preferably a nutritious meal like oatmeal or soup. It is better not to eat during the flight - food from the planes will give you nothing but empty calories. When choosing drinks, stick to clear water or tomato juice. Avoid coffee, cola, and other carbonated drinks - they can trigger nausea. However, it is also impossible to refuse liquid - the air in the plane is very dry.
Step 5
Stock up on sour candies with vitamins and natural juice - they can relieve congestion in the ears and distract from discomfort. Before the flight, take an aspirin tablet dissolved in a glass of water - it thinns the blood and protects you from sudden dizziness and pressure surges.
Step 6
Having settled in your chair, take off your shoes - your legs swell during the flight. To feel more comfortable, wear soft wool or cotton socks. If possible, do not wear tight jeans or business suits during the flight - it will be more comfortable for you to wear multi-layered knitwear.
Step 7
Don't forget to grab an interesting book or electronic device that allows you to listen to music and watch movies. Not everyone manages to sleep in flight, and the time of forced idleness must be lived through with benefit. Don't skip a glass of wine or a glass of cognac on board - a small amount of alcohol will help you relax.
